Hi, I'm Julia and I'm your lifestyle photographer!
My passion for photography started at a young age. I grew up in Siberia, Russia and we didn’t have much. The one thing I always got to play with was my father’s old Zenit camera. I was always fascinated by film and my favourite days were when my father turned our tiny family bathroom into a dark room. I still remember the first negatives I developed in that bathroom and the thrill that it gave me. That thrill sticks with me to this day.
As an adult, I studied photography at Deakin University. My favourite subjects have always been people. I love the way we move, the way our bodies can talk without speaking, and the art of everyday. Such special moments to cherish.
I love that photography allows me to meet new people. Each of my clients are unique, and I love to show it on camera. I pride myself on building and maintaining relationships and we often become good friends after our photo sessions. It’s hard for me to decide what I like more, when I see the smiles on set of your photo session or your smiles once the photos are in your hands.
My passion is photography but my favourite job in the world is being a mother to my two beautiful girls – Alice and Amelie. Photo sessions with my family are some of my happiest moments in life.

We are blessed to live in the Mornington Peninsula, the perfect backdrop to our many family photoshoots. I feel like I blinked my eyes and suddenly I have a 7 year old and a 3 year old!
I am grateful for each moment I was able to catch on my camera – those tiny fingers, scrunched up faces, first curls, and everyday smiles. Precious moments.
As a family, we love to go down memory lane with the thousands (yes, literally thousands haha) of photographs I have taken of my girls growing up. Having these moments preserved, we can replay them whenever we want.
