FAQ
How many pictures will we receive?
Rest assured that you will receive a thoughtfully curated selection of the finest photos from your session, showcasing my unique style and attention to detail. On average, you can expect to receive over 50 photographs that beautifully capture the essence of your special moments.
Do we need to bring anything to our session?
It’s always a good idea to pack or wear layers for outdoor photoshoots to stay warm and cozy. Being cold can be distracting and make it hard to relax in front of the camera. Aside from that, all you need is your authentic connection and a positive attitude to make your shoot a success!
How do we pose?
The best photographs are the ones that are not posed. In fact, I will rarely ask you to look into the camera. Pay attention to the people you came with. Play with your kids, hug the people you love, talk to one another, laugh, goof around, and do what you usually do. Take a deep breath and enjoy the experience! Our photo session is all about having fun!
What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
The optimal time to schedule your newborn photography session is within the first 10 days of your baby’s life. This timeframe allows us to capture those adorable curled-up poses that are so cherished. However, I completely understand that settling into your new routine as a new parent takes time and adjustments. If you feel more comfortable waiting a bit longer before having the session, that’s absolutely okay.
For outdoor photography, when is the best time to capture stunning shots?
If you’re looking for the perfect lighting and ambiance for your photos, I highly recommend scheduling your shoot during the ‘golden hour’ – the hour and a half before sunset. While it may not be the most convenient option with small kids, I assure you that the end result is well worth it!
Parent tip: If you want to optimize the outcome of your photo session with kids, it’s worth considering shifting their nap time to later in the day or booking a session for a time of year when the days are shorter.
How should we dress?
I recommend wearing natural fabrics. We are going for high quality enriched photos and synthetic fabrics can cheapen the look of your photos (and we definitely don’t want that).
Think about the weather if we are shooting outdoors. There is nothing worse than shivering subjects who don’t feel comfortable. I always recommend wearing layers for our outdoor shoots. And of course, check the weather forecast!
A harmonic colour scheme always gives us stylish results. Think about the colours of the location, it’s always great to dress to match the location. If we are shooting in the forest you could aim for olive and sage green tones. Earthy neutral and natural colours are always a safe choice to produce gorgeous results. I also recommend booking ahead of time, so you have enough time to prepare appropriate clothing for everyone on the day of our photo session.
Once you have booked your photo session, I will provide you with a personalized style guide to help you along the way!
What if it's rainining?
Don’t worry! If the weather conditions are unfavorable, particularly if it’s raining, we will gladly reschedule your session. I recommend having alternative outfits prepared for colder weather as well, ensuring that you’re comfortable and stylish regardless of the temperature.
