CAPTURING TENDER NEWBORN MOMENTS WITH LOVE AND CARE

Those first few weeks with your new baby are unlike anything else.

The tiny fingers wrapped around yours. The sleepy cuddles. The soft little stretches. The way they fit perfectly in your arms.

It’s such a beautiful season, but it also passes incredibly quickly. Before you know it, your tiny newborn has already changed.

That’s why I love newborn photography so much. It’s about preserving the little details you’ll want to remember forever.

Welcome to My Mt Eliza Newborn Photography Studio

My cosy home studio in Mt Eliza has been designed especially for newborns and families.

From the moment you walk in, my goal is to help you slow down and simply enjoy this special time with your baby.

The studio is warm, quiet and peaceful, creating the perfect environment for sleepy newborns. Parents can sit back, relax, and enjoy watching their baby’s very first professional portraits being created.

Everything is prepared before you arrive, so there’s no rushing and no pressure.

A Relaxed Experience

I know becoming new parents can feel overwhelming.

Many families tell me they’re worried their baby won’t settle, they’ll forget something, or their toddler won’t cooperate.

The good news is—you don’t need to worry.

After photographing babies and families for more than 10 years, I’ve learnt that every newborn session is different, and that’s completely okay.

We work entirely around your baby’s needs.

If your little one needs feeding, cuddles, changing or settling, we simply take our time. There is never any pressure to rush.

Some babies sleep the entire session, while others prefer to stay awake and watch the world around them. Both create beautiful photographs.

Beautiful, Timeless Styling

My style is natural, soft and timeless.

Rather than following short-lived trends, I focus on creating photographs that will still feel beautiful decades from now.

The studio is filled with carefully selected neutral wraps, blankets, baskets, bonnets and handcrafted outfits in soft creams, whites and earthy tones.

Everything is provided for your newborn, so you don’t need to bring anything special unless there’s a sentimental item you’d love included.

Family Photos Are Just as Important

Your newborn session isn’t only about your baby.

It’s about your whole family.

Those first cuddles together.

The way your toddler proudly kisses their new baby brother or sister.

The look on Dad’s face.

The tiny hand wrapped around Mum’s finger.

These are often the photographs families treasure the most years later.

Siblings are always welcome, and I encourage parents to be part of the session too. Even if you’re feeling tired or not quite yourself yet, I promise you’ll never regret being in these photographs with your baby.

Prefer Your Own Home?

While most of my newborn sessions take place in my warm and cosy Mt Eliza studio, I also offer in-home newborn photography for families who’d prefer to stay in the comfort of their own home during those early weeks.

Many new parents simply don’t feel like packing the car and heading out with a brand-new baby—and that’s completely understandable. Instead, I can bring the studio experience to you.

I’ll arrive with everything needed for your baby’s portraits, including wraps, blankets, beautiful newborn outfits, baskets, posing pillows and other carefully selected props. All you need to do is relax and enjoy some precious time with your little one while I create beautiful, timeless photographs.

We can also capture natural family moments around your home—cuddles on the couch, feeding your baby, siblings meeting their newest family member, or simply soaking in those first precious days together.

What Should We Wear?

Choosing outfits is often one of the biggest stresses before a photoshoot, but it doesn’t have to be! I’m always happy to help you choose outfits that photograph beautifully and complement each other.

After booking, you’ll receive my detailed What to Wear & How to Prepare Guide, and you’re welcome to email me photos of your outfit ideas if you’d like my advice.

For mums, I also have a selection of beautiful dresses available to borrow from my studio wardrobe at no extra cost.

If you’d prefer to purchase or hire your own dress, here are some Australian businesses I often recommend:

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident. Neutral, earthy colours and soft textures photograph best, but I’ll help you choose outfits that suit your family and create timeless photographs you’ll love for years to come.

When Should You Book?

The best time to photograph your newborn is usually within the first 5–14 days after birth, when babies are often sleepier and naturally curl into those beautiful newborn poses.

However, please don’t worry if your baby is already older.

I’ve photographed newborns several weeks—and even months—old, and every stage is beautiful in its own way.

The most important thing is capturing your family’s story, regardless of your baby’s age.
